Meet Jimmy McCollin The Visionary Behind Synet Consulting Services Inc.
Jimmy McCollin, the driving force and Managing Director of Synet Consulting Services Inc., founded the company in 2007 under the name Synergy Network Consulting. With over four decades of experience, Jimmy is a seasoned veteran in the Caribbean’s telecommunications, IT, and media technology sectors.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jimmy has held prestigious roles, including Solution Architect at Fujitsu Caribbean, Chief Telecommunications Officer for the Government of Barbados, and Chief Technology Officer for One Caribbean Media. His influence shaped technology strategies at major entities like the Nation and Starcom in Barbados, TV6 in Trinidad, and GBN in Grenada.
Jimmy’s expertise further extended to Ericsson, where he served as Solutions Manager for mobile networks (GPRS, HSPA, and LTE) in the Bahamas. He later became the head of TV at LIME, now known as FLOW TV.
As principal consultant for Synet Consulting, Jimmy spearheaded significant projects, such as expanding the remote workforce and contact centers for First Caribbean International Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership, Synet became the largest provider of technology-based staff augmentation resources across the region until 2023.
Today, Synet Consulting continues to excel in technology staff augmentation services for the financial sector while branching out into digital signage infrastructure, support services, and advertising. Jimmy’s visionary leadership ensures Synet remains at the forefront of technological innovation and client satisfaction.
